Focus focus focus...

Focus is essential, timing is everything.
To learn about the right time for everything important see: "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"...

Now, focus is necessary to attain goals, and to get simple things done. Along the line of NY resolutions I scheduled a dentist appointment for next week, more medical professionals will follow *ack!* but what needs to be done, needs to be done.

Cleanining, decluttering, giving away stuff has started too. The "clean" feeling is just priceless, I hope this trend continues as I have too much of everything - clothes, shoes, handbags, cosmetics, papers, bills, prints, copies, useless machines & CDs, even books that have to be given away or traded. Should get it done by springtime :-)

Oh, and there's setting the scores and old accounts, fulfilling longtime dreams, decisions and changes, doors to be closed and windows to be open. It's time.

Bruise for a ring

(technically: addendum to the New Year post)

I have a bruise on a finger, exactly where weddingband usually goes.

I got this bruise hauling my luggage while wearing a ring I bought some time ago. This reminded me that for a long time now I've been alone like this - last time a man in my life, other than my father, gave me a ring or something of different value was ... for my birthday in 2000?
I even asked dad to buy me a ring I liked, a couple of years ago, "because I don't see anyone else getting me one anytime soon". Right on the spot.

So, I'll keep hauling my stuff on my own and I just bought myself a pair of amethist earrings, because I can.

Edit: before accusations of materialism - it's about symbols, not monetary value, just like weddingbands are only symbols, as in: "take this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity".

Note, on dreams:
I dreamt about fighting someone I care about, we were both armed with cutlery, but I had a kitchen knife (small yet sharp) and I stabbed him through the heart and killed him...

All Is Quiet on New Year's Day...

All is very quiet indeed, and I like it this way. Some things seem to fall in place creating a harmony, just like the pillars above.

Harmony which, hopefully, is the starting point for a change. A necessary change, I must say.

BTW, dear Santa, thank you for the lens and perfume, I will have to live without the rest (current sales may provide the cardigan, so that's no problem). You did amazingly in impossible wishes department though :-) freedom has no price, freedom from anguish and wasting time over it is especially priceless, thanks. I'm ready for that change now, if you please.

Oh, in New Year resolutions chapter I promise to make good use of my health insurance, workout, be good, work, invest and do whatever is necessary to... you know ;-)
