Dear Santa... Part 2

What do you know... well done Santa!
Well, almost. I had to foot the bill myself, but number 8 on the list was fulfilled quickly, right in time for the cold days. If this is how it works, old man, it's doable, as long as you make sure my credit card bill is covered, if you know what I mean.

Now about that ride to IKEA... :)

Ah, and since you are taking notes, apparently, I changed my mind about the perfume and I want to be an "Angel" again, with a little help from Thierry Mugler, if it's OK with you, of course.

*jingle bells, jingle bells...*

Dear Santa...

I'm writing to you to let you know that, like everyone else, I have wishes too.
It is painfully obvious by now that nobody looked me up on Amazon as I only ever received stuff from my whishlist that I actually paid for myself. Guess I have to explore different avenues, thus this letter.
I am fully aware of your workload and of the global crisis, but it would be really nice if you could get me something I really need, how about that?
1. Let's start small - a thermo-teapot a bit better than the ones at China-shops would be a great addition to my winter evenings.
2. A memory stick for my new camera, especially if I'm going to part with the old camera and stick, be decent - make it bigger than 128MB.
3. A Perfectionist or an Idealist - for the uninitiated: these are my very favourite cosmetic's brand EsteƩ Lauder products, facial serums to be exact.
4. DKNY "Be Delicious" perfume - because...
5. Manpower and funds to fix bathroom and living room lights, bath tap and the alternative WC leak. Ideally - manpower and funds to fix and paint bathroom and bedroom walls and ceilings.
5. A bookshelf! Or a t least a ride to IKEA so I can buy one :/
6. An iPod-like device ... maybe, not sure yet if I really want one.
7. A laptop and a new cell phone - one day when the current ones die their natural deaths, don't worry yet, Santa!
8. Oh, a nice parka for the winter, I hear it's going to be very cold this year and I sooo hate cold...

Last but not the least a winning lottery ticket would be just perfect...

P.S. I know that in the end I will get the stuff (except the lottery :/) because I will buy it myself, but it doesn't hurt to ask, right?

PSS. I leave world peace and stuffs for Miss Universe candidates and Bob Geldof to ask.

Rainbows and butterflies

I can see clearly now the rain is gone... and if I look up I can see a rainbow.
Actually I did see a rainbow on Monday but somehow I feel most people missed it. It was enormous, bright, over north-western part of the city. Why could people miss such a big thing hanging there in the sky? It was a Monday morning, people, except this fool here, were busy, hurrying to work, to buy a newspaper, to have a cup of coffee. Sky? Who cares about the sky, one has to look on the ground or we might trip over some obstacle in our morning rush. Right? Pragmatic, yes, but right? If you don't look up you're going to miss the rainbow! Sure, there will be more rainbows, but if you're always too busy to look for them you'll end up missing them all.

So yeah, I lost 5 minutes of my time on my way to the office to stare at something beautiful. Nobody even noticed I was 5 freaking minutes late, but I came in with a smile and eyes still full of colours...

I will keep filling my eyes with stars and rainbows and butterflies. I will keep taking pictures of things I see to share them with those who, pragmatically, might have missed them. I'm a fool, I know.
