Why oh Why? Part II

So, I finished reading that stupid book, and it made me wonder - what for?

Following the author's advice a girl should get a man interested without falling in love herself (that would be dangerous for the plan), train him like a circus horse with huge doses of whip and carrots (men do not react much to verbal stimuli, apparently), only to get... what?

To get a man she doesn't love or respect, even if she respected him in the beginning of the process, when she's done with him there can be no respect whatsoever. Who respects a man who's blind enough to fall for the old tricks and who kisses the hand holding the whip? Pfft...

Not to mention "little" flaws in the author's views - why should I impose watching "chick flicks" instead of sports if I hate chick flicks in the first place? Oh, well, contrary to some people's opinions I'm not a bitch material, sorry to disappoint.

Now, back to normal reading schedule... Henry Kamen "Spanish Inquisition" - much better :-)
